A Woman in Need of Guidance

I thank Shelly, "GLITTERGIRL69"for guiding me to this page. She has helped me with so much on Spark People. She is the Team Leader from "I Can't Do This On My Own".
Eventhough I heard about SP from a neighbor in August of 2010, it was February 4, 2012 when I truely became serious. Shelly taught me how to use the nutrition tracker; she knew I would love using it. Wow! It is a powerful tool. It has even motivated me to want to exercise every day. Isn't that amazing? She has ...

Wow! It is a powerful tool. It has even motivated me to want to exercise every day. Isn't that amazing? She has taught me how to use the fitness & weight loss trackers. She is still teaching me more on these trackers and other things too. I sure am grateful to her. Are relationship started with God at the center of it. I'm so thankful God brought Shelly into my life.
Thank you GLITTERGIRL69, for all that you do to make this jouney fun & a blessing to my health.

Janis, my condolences and sorrow reach out to you in the loss of your beloved dog, Little Girl. Please know that I am here for you. I hope the following poem will give you some comfort. Embracing you in healing hugs.

A Time to Remember (by John Quealy)

They come into our lives for such a short time.
A time we wouldn't trade not even for a dime.
Then before you know it the years have flown by.
And then all of the sudden we're saying good-bye.

It wasn't that long ago we said our good-byes.
We held on to you tight as you closed your eyes.
Your spirit has flown home on the wings of a dove.
Into God's loving arm's; in heaven above.

Over the days we've shed many tears.
But the memories we have will live on for years.
We feel your presence and we know that your near.
You're keeping us safe and calming our fear.

We think about memories from years past.
When you were young and strong and ran so fast.
We remember all the great times that we all had.
How you always made us happy never made us mad.

They were the best and happiest years we had.
We'll always look back on them and never be sad.
We look forward to the time we'll be together again.
And we thank the Lord for such a great friend.

Now you run and play up in Heaven above.
Cradled in God's arms covered with his love.
Playing by the Bridge waiting for the day.
We come down thru the meadow to the bridge to stay.

The love that you showed us we'll never forget.
Because to us you're one very special pet.
You're like a star in the dark of night.
Always watching over us with the Lord's light.

So now we take time to remember our best friend.
Who will always be with us even to the end.
We'll always remember you the way you were.
One big lovable huggable pile of fur.

emoticon Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own LOVE. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but my doing what you can to make grace happen by following His will yourself, right now, right down here on Earth. Make a difference in your life and the lives of others by choosing joy and sharing it with others. You lead by example. Happy Valentine's Day! emoticon

Hi Janis,
Thank you for the massage goodie. Yes, a massage sounds good about now!
I have just started learning about the anti-inflammatory diet and recently have been applying it to my eating. It was suggested to me a while back. but I haven't done anything until now.
I found a link to a program here on SP. Pretty good information.

So far so good. I think I am losing some inches around my waistline.
I am also getting off the sugar and processed foods trains. I think that has helped a lot too.
Will see what this leads to in the near and far future.
The less I weigh, the less my knees hurt. Got a ways to go, but gonna keep trying.
Hope you can find something that works for you too.

Take care and God be with you!
Love you,
Sue emoticon
