DLB- Determination - Love - Balance

Determination- Never lose hope, or give up. Your will and your fight are yours to own along with anything you set your mind too. We are amazing beings, with spirit and desire and drive. Push yourself, even when you think there is nothing left, there is.. its raw determination that will carry you. Take your life back, reach your goals and create your own destiny.

Love- Love yourself first, reach into yourself and love who you are as a person. We are flawed, but we are incredibly beautiful. If we love ourself, we open up a whole new world of love we can share with others. It is the hardest thing to do, we accept others, embrace others and do not give ourselves that same reward. Love who you are, all the flaws and all the faults as you see them, they are what make you special, they are what others enjoy and see as endearing. Allow yourself to love who you are and share your love with others, you will not be dissapointed.

Balance- Its all about balance and peace. Nothing is perfect, things happen, life happens. It is how we choose to cope and deal with things, how we move forward and strengthen ourselves. We work towards creating a happiness a balance in all aspects of our lives, our hearts and our minds. Balance, its easy to obtain if you let go of so many things, declutter..less is truly more.

Patience - Trust - Honesty with yourself and of others...believe

Never forget to have a little patience with yourself, place some trust in who you are and what you are capable of. Give yourself some leeway to make errors and learn from them, be patient. Change will happen, but it comes from with in first.

Trust the strenth of your mind and the power of your body. Push your limits, challenge your senses, your brain and work your body as far and as hard as you can. Trust in your power.

Most importantly be honest with yourself, along with others. Be accountable, stand behind your choices, own them!

And lastly believe. Believe in your inner strength, the power you have to change, believe in who you are and all that you aspire to be. You may shed a few tears, a few pounds, but you will not break. You will amaze yourself and inspire others!

The journey thus far has taught me so much, given me so much as a person, and filled my heart to overflowing. I have become the woman I desire to be. I have amazed myself...push yourself to do the same, I promise you will never regret the feeling.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My first day on Sparks 1/30/2008 :
I am trying to lose weight yet again. It seems that I try, I have mini successes, yet no long term huge improvement. Which we all know can be frustrating. I am an active person, a determined person, and down right stubborn, yet the weight seems to be a little more determined and stubborn to stay were it wants to be.
I have self esteem issues, my body image as I guess with many people, is not healthy. I look in the mirror I see myself, and yet for some reason, what I see it likely 30 pounds heavier then what others see. I am trying to change that. All the weight loss in the world wont change how I view self, so I am aware now, and acknowledging now, that its a change i must make mentally as well.
You hear its a numbers game, this weight loss journey, and then you hear, forget the numbers, they dont mean anything. Okay HELP! We watch our calories, carbs, fats, protiens, we track our minutes we work out, our glasses of water a day, but the scale means nothing? Its a number, okay its not the number I want, but its a number. We need to watch our waist hip ratio, again more numbers, and BMI(i dont know bout anyone else but that whole system has it out for me) According to my BMI, I am overweight...the numbers don't lie!! But how is a lady who walks/jog 5-10kms a day, plays squash( created a blog to explain the sport as called raquette ball) for an hour up to two, and now does gymnastics(yes real gymnastics), how if i am so active and healthy that way, am I overwieght...its the numbers :(
My doctor says, dont worry about them, I am healthy, I eat properly, and healthy, and I am an active intense person who loves to work out and float on the adrenilin of a great work out.
Okay so I whined and complained, well I am annoyed and more determined then ever to loose the weight I want. I have enjoyed very much the tools on this site and have made the site my home page. Perhaps being more accountable and aware of what I eat and my excerise, I will see and learn and understand area's I need to change.
This weight loss, and my inner struggles have been something I have been ashamed of and kept hidden, and felt as failure for, am turning the page and trying to think positvitly and change my whole view of everything.
Honesty, Accountability, Patience, a Sense of Humor and some friggen numbers I don't know what to do with yet and a Postive outlook, I will get where I want to be, and be happy in my own skin again.
To obtain my perfect weight, not what I "should be according to numbers" But my healthy weight and be at peace with myself and proud of myself for it. MY goal is to wear that two piece suit this year and NOT be nervous and worried bout jiggle factor!!!
GOALS
***160-(MET GOAL)
***150-(MET GOAL)
***140- (MET GOAL)
***130- (MET GOAL)
My Program:
All my programs are based on burning 500 cals. I dont get off a machine until I reach such, and my time line is 45 mins.
My elliptical program is intense, i set to burn 500 calories per work out, in 40 mins plus a 5 min cool down which the cals burnt there i do not add.
My treadmill program is normally set for an hour, burning 500plus cals. It intervals between a jog on flat surface to a run on 15% incline over a min of 5km. My treadmill is normally set on max incline, because the burn hurts so good.
Hello hello hello....I miss you SO MUCH! I am trying very hard to get back into SP and finish these last 15 pounds....so bug me please. I've been keeping SP open on my computer at work, which helps. But I need this. You life seems to have become so blessed. I am so glad you are happy and having fun. Ottawa? What was there? Or just a getaway? Never been.
You still working? Same place? You look fabulous. I changed my profile pic so you can see what I really look like...did you peek? And I put some flying pics from yesterday up on my blog.
One, we will meet. I promise. Hugs!
Thought I would say H! Sitting on my butt watching a really bad horror movie after a 14 hour night f sleep. Not motivated for anything after that, but I do feel rested. And bored. DSH is working for another few hours. How are you? I'm waiting to see if we still get to go to Israel on Dec 3rd - hoping they sort everything out and have a cease fire in the next couple of days. IF the tour company says it's OK, we are still going. So I wait. You getting snow there yet?
LOVE,
cay
