My name is Kassie. I'm a 30 year old stay-at-home mother of two beautiful children. I'm an Army wife, too, and have let myself go for far too long while assisting others in their lives/goals. It's time to get healthy, drop the excess weight, and live longer for my children!!
My first mini-goal is to lose 27 lbs. That may seem like an odd number, but it'd put me under 300 lbs. I think once I can't see that nasty 3 on the scale, I will take OFF!! :)
I'm going from total couch potato (with the only exercise I get being walking while shopping, chasing after a crawling baby, or running to the fridge during commercial breaks) to active 30-something. I'm starting slow so I don't hurt myself! So far, I'm trying to take at least a 30 minute daily walk, mixed with some cardio workouts on my cable network's "On Demand" channel. It's easy, fun, and FREE! So far so good!
As far as diet goes, I'm just trying to watch what goes in, portion control it, and eliminate sodas (even diet ones). I come from a long line of fat booties and high caloric intake, so this is particularly a difficult challenge!
I'm from a small town in North Central Texas. Since I married in March 2000, we have lived in Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Georgia, and Germany. We're glad to be back in Texas, though!
I'm a happy-go-lucky gal and motivated by results!

Hi. . .I saw your blog and thought I'd stop by your spark page. One of the reasons I was prompted to start my journey was because of the way my body/mind was feeling. I was so tired, and I had no energy at any time during the day. I was actually afraid something bigger (no pun intended) might be wrong with me. I had a complete physical, and because of my symptoms the doc ran a bunch of tests. She checked for things like Lyme's disease and she checked my thyroid. As it turned out. . . everything was okay, and I have gradually felt better and better as these 4 weeks have gone by. I guess this is my long-winded way of telling you that you should keep moving ahead. . . you will get your energy back! It feels so good one month into this, but the beginning is a bit tough. Also. . . make an appointment at the doctor to make sure that you don't have any other health issues. We are all in this together, and you WILL succeed!
