Happy at last and working on me!

I started running and realized I loved it. It made me feel great, super stress reliever and I was losing weight.

I started out running about 2 miles a day and worked up to 4. After running a 10k I decided to give my knees a rest. While I still contemplate running a half marathon, I have shifted my goals for the time being.

I have joined a gym and have moved my focus to cardio AND strength training.

I suggest taking regular pictures of yourself to help keep you motivated. At times I've felt down about my weight being up a bit and then I'd snap a few pictures and think, "Hey, I look pretty darn good--better than when I weighed a bit less, actually." It's hard when we've become so tuned into the numbers on the scale, which we love to see going down, but what's better proof of our success than great pictures, right?
