*I Found my Sparkle*

2012 - That elusive Sparkle... I know its in there.

2008 - I was just thinking that the other day on the way to work... What happened to my "sparkle" that joy in my approach to each day, that dash of wonder at each experience, that energy that kept me happy, healthy... I remember saying to myself in that moment... "I need to find my Sparkle"

Three days later, I found this website. I am a single mum with limited resources, debt up my yin yang, and way to many pounds on ...

2008 - I was just thinking that the other day on the way to work... What happened to my "sparkle" that joy in my approach to each day, that dash of wonder at each experience, that energy that kept me happy, healthy... I remember saying to myself in that moment... "I need to find my Sparkle"

Three days later, I found this website. I am a single mum with limited resources, debt up my yin yang, and way to many pounds on this poor body of mine... I quit smoking (yeah!!!) about four years ago and compounded with some health issues that slowed me down I very quickly put on over 80 pounds!!

I am so glad to be here and to meet you all... If I can support you in any way in your journey, or you in mine, lets take these steps together... Thanks for taking the time to read... :)

I want to be able to cut my toe nails again...
I want to be able to wrap a single towel around me again.. and actually cover everything!!
I want to feel comfortable with myself

I want to wear regular socks again and not cut off my circulation!
I want to wear pretty clothes again.
I want to feel good about myself and proud of my appearance.
I want to add more to this list as i think of it...

Eat to Live 6-Week Plan

From the book Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss by Dr. Joel Fuhrman
UNLIMITED (eat as much as you want):

all raw vegetables, including raw carrots (goal: 1 lb. daily)
cooked green vegetables (goal 1 lb. daily)
beans, legumes, bean sprouts, or *tofu (minimum 1 cup daily in total of these)
fresh fruit (at least 4 daily).
eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, onions, tomato and other non-starchy vegetables, cooked and raw (unlimited)

*Beans should be eaten daily; tofu should be eaten less frequently.
LIMITED (not more than one serving):

Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this. Thanks for the blog comment. I usually don't have a problem with water but lately I'm craving pop again. I use True Orange or True Lemon to flavor my water when I'm having difficulty or need flavor. I also sometimes use a bit of 100% juice to add flavor. Iced tea is a common alternate around here. Hope you had a healthy day!

I love your comments on my blog. You are not the first person to mention THAT accomplishment and I can definitely relate. I hope you don't mind my friending you. Together we can do this thing. I'm going the vegan route, too, but lean toward Dr. McDougall. emoticon
