I'd like to keep active and healthy, and also feel comfortable in nice clothes :-)
I've been doing beginners yoga for the last few months (have been a beginner for about 20 years!). Now that its heading to summer, I'm enjoying my cardio more, and getting back into cycling and jogging. I havent done strength training for sometime, so I'm looking forward to getting back into that. Also, keeping a food log helps me keep things in perspective - did I really eat all that?!!
I'm a New Zealander living in Kosovo. I find that on-line tools and communities can be a great weight loss and healthy lifestyle support, so I'm back! I have a lot of exercise equipment at home - I just need to use it.
Thanks Carol. I sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed by the user interface on this site. Somehow I changed the background on my page to purple. I thought it looked cool at the time, now I need to change it to something more neutral. I am also enjoying yoga better this time around. Figured that probably the tendon problems were the result of the over all shortening of the leg muscles. I cant really afford to drop regular exercise, although i now realize that exercise is not the way to lose weight - but it is to remaining healthy and active. I am also using my block and belt - a lot! :)
Glad to see you're still around too. Looks like we're going to be long term internet fitness buddies. I have the Spark app on my Android phone as well. It's so easy to use... why wouldn't I? Good luck to you with your fitness efforts. This time around yoga feels better than ever. I never appreciated it the way I do now and I'm so much more forgiving of myself for changing the poses to suit my particular quirks and embracing the props like belts and such. (I heart my belt and block!)
