I am a wife and mother who wants to make sure that I am around to enjoy my family and all the blessings I have been given. I need to do this first for myself but also for my family, especially my two boys who seem to be following in my same footsteps. I want to be able to be a good example to them! I hope that the accountability here at Spark People will help me to stay on track and reach my goal!

11/29/07: Update!
I love Spark People! This site has been so helpful in keeping me accountable that I have lost 20 lbs. and I feel terrific! I know that I can keep loosing because I have such a great support team in my family and in the friends I have made here. I know I can do this now and I'm not stopping. I feel better and I look better and there is only one way to go and that is down on the scales! I know it will get harder but I know I am up for the challenge!

3/10/08: Update
Lost 35 lbs! I didn't meet my goal date but I am OK with that. Since it was the holidays during that time I feel that I did good by not gaining! The weight is coming off slower now and I struggle to keep motivated but I know that I can do this so I will keep going forward and never let myself go back even it it takes forever! My husband has lost over 50 lbs and looks great - I am so proud of him! I need to add some new pictures to show our accomplishments! Never give up!!

My Goals:
To be healthy and active for myself and my family. I have a 20th Anniversary trip to Hawaii coming up in May 2008 and I would like to look good when I get there!

Mini goals & rewards!
*Loose 20 lbs - Hand & Foot "Fantasy: at Burke's Spa
**Goal met on 11/28/07 Spa treatment on 12/1 YEAH!

**Loose 30 lbs - 2 new outfits! (Hopefully by Jan 1st)
*I didn'tmake Jan 1st goal date but did make goal on 2/11/08 I will have to take some pictures to show off the new outfits and new body!

***Loose 40 lbs - That will be a reward in itself! Maybe I'll have a night out to celebrate with just the hubby!

My Program:
I am starting out with the meal plans on spark people and see how that works for me. I also plan to do a lot more walking and trying to not make excused about going to the gym!

I live in the Orangecrest area of Riverside, CA. I have two boys, one is a Senior in High School and the other is in middle school. I have been married for 19 years.

    Your goal was to lose weight for your Hawaii trip ,you have done that now. You need to have another goal to get you focused. Just cause you did it for your trip doesn't mean you go back to how it was . Pick or brain storm a new goal to keep the ball rolling. If your not working you have no excuse to get out and say go for a walk lotsa time for self focus not self pity.Get you butt off the couch and start doing something anything.

    Can we make a pack to get back on starting in Sept? I need to do something . Feeling down , weight gain, lack of exercise.,Stressed. Not good news i have disappointed myself again. I want it but cant get in the mind frame.
    I really want to keep tabs with you. You also need to get back to the program, you have done so well,don't give into the self pity. You can't do that . I remember your excitment in goals met , don't go there and throw it away. It is where i am and believe me it is not a good place. Tell me your goal for the week . Mine is to drink my water each day starting now and do 1 form of exercise only 15 min. each day this week just to start.. Can you do it tooo.
    We got to stick together.
