I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news, My wife of almost eleven years Pat Johnson died on Tuesday February 3, 2009. We had her Funeral on Thursday February 5,2009. If she was here She would thank all her SparkPeople friends for supporting her journey to a healthier life. She tried to run a race with a brain stem tumor and she lost. If She was successful she would have thanked all those who supported and encouraged her. As I am thanking you right now. There is a group on facebook in her memory, here is the link: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group .php?gid=72887774664&ref=mf
There is also an online memorial guestbook in her honour: http://www.legacy.com/CAN-Windsor/GB/Gue stbookView.aspx?PersonId=123721444 2790 days ago
Hi Pat...thanks for adding me as a friend. I have done the same with you. Fortunately for me I didn't have any follow-up treatment with the lung cancer. It was caught early on so I had a thoracostomy (removal of my right lower lobe) and that was it. I've been almost four years (May) from that bout but have recently been diagnosed with kidney cancer (very small tumor) and am about to undergo an ablation for it hoping that it will kill the tumor and bad cells. I expect to have that done within the next couple of weeks. I suppose now you will be having a PET to find the site of origin of your cancer. I will pray for you that it's in a treatable place and that you will have many more years on this earth. I'm here if you need a shoulder or just need to vent.
