Twin Bridge hike
July 2013 at Moraine Lake
REALLY excited about Spark and my Spark teams. I'm in my mid 60s and newly retired. Working out and eating healthy are challenges for me sometimes. I LOVE hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, snow shoes, and kayaking. I want to get more fit to enjoy these activities with my friends, and to have more energy to enjoy my retirement! For 2016, I want to continue to lose weight, build strength and increase fitness, and make new friends and have adventures.
My goals are to increase strength and fitness, lose weight, and have more energy.
A big goal for me is to stay positive and upbeat, and to not be negative toward myself or others.
My strategies for success are:
Exercise every day for at least 10 minutes
Exercise 200 minutes total per week
Drink 8 glasses of water daily
Eat 5 fruits and vegetables daily
I live in Central Oregon (the dry side of the state!)

Thanks for reading my blog!
I added the link to the challenge. I had forgotten to do that.
It's too bad people in the hospitality field aren't paid better. They must need to get roommates, if they don't have enough for rent. Maybe they'll raise the minimum wage soon. That would help them, because they rely on tips, but the tips aren't that high.
Lemon pie is one of my favorites too! Maybe next time you make it, you can freeze the leftovers for when you have friends or family over again. Here's a recipe you might want to try with sugar-free pudding and sugar-free whipped topping.

Sorry my friend have not been on line for awhile. I was in distress. They found a menigioma tumor on my optic nerve, was to start radiation to shrink it,but now they have ne on 80 mg prednisone to try and also get the swelling down. I was losing my sight in the one eye. I was a wreck, because I am an avid reader. plus the adventures to see outside. The praise is it is not cancer. Praise the Lord for that. The side effect of the medicine is weight gain, but I got that together as I am a MINDFUL eater since Jan. so I eat plenty of fruits and vegetables . I lost 15.2 pounds, but knew my clothes were getting loser I measured my self had not since Jan. lost 3 inches off bust, 2 inches off waist, 3 inches off hips, & 3 inches off thighs.. I hope you are doing well I am going back now to read your last blogs I missed out on Take care have a blessed weekend !!! ( Judy )
