I am here following my path to staying healthy, strong, fit, and ALIVE! Here is a little about my weight loss journey...

I started losing weight in Aug. 2006 at 265 pounds. I changed my diet, exercised (a little) and was on a doctor prescribed weight management medication, but never relied on the "magic pill" to take the weight off. I worked really hard! I counted every calorie, changed my exercise plan from none to some, and little by little the weight came off. I lost eighty pounds over five months! I went off the medication in Jan. 2007 and maintained my weight loss for over FIVE years!

I stayed around 185 lbs., and was happy, quite happy, but as the years passed I wanted more. I needed more exercise, I wanted to be fit, not just eat right. So last year I found an amazing workout buddy and change my diet and exercise again. In October 2011 I lowered my carb intake, ate leaner meats and started a regular workout routine. I lost another 25 lbs. going from 190 lbs. to 165 lbs. In the beginning of 2012 my workout buddy and I started the Insanity program. We completed that and moved onto Body Revolution by Jillian Michael's. I am currently working through Chalene Extreme and love it! What an empowering workout, I feel so strong!

My Program:
I am currently following Chalene Extreme by Chalene Johnson. Love the power I get from lifting heavy weights!

I follow a lean meat and low carb food plan. I allow for cheat meals and even days. I work out hard and don't deprive myself of any foods.

My family knows what I am doing and supports me fully. I keep my motivation with a workout buddy. She makes me go when I don't want to!
