I've spent more than enough time thinking about what I want - now it's time to make it happen! I'm cutting out grains, dairy, and sugar - in other words, adopting a paleo/primal eating style. I'm a member of a CSA (community-supported agriculture program) again this year to be sure to always have fresh vegetables in the house.

Thanks to the Lord, I have a healthy baby boy after two years struggling with infertility thanks to PCOS. I need to get myself as healthy as I can to be strong for him and a good example.

Fitness Minutes: 5,200

My Goals:
I would like to maintain/improve my heart health before it becomes a problem, as well as lose weight. My initial goal is a 5% weight loss - from 280 to 266. (Done!) I'm going to look at my overall goal in 5% increments to avoid being discouraged from how long the road may be!

Next up: 253.


My Program:
Eat veggies, a little fruit, meat, and healthy fats.

Drink water, eat veg - focus on what I can have on a daily basis and enjoy an occasional "off" meal.

Avoid refined, processed foods.

SW: 280 (well, 285, really, but I'm not redoing the numbers below!)

No more diet soda or fake sweeteners!

Working out 3x a week at home with a variety of videos. Right now I'm a fan of Wii's "Just Dance" - it is more fun than any workout I've ever done and gives a great calorie burn!




Personal Information:
I am 34 years old and live in sunny Florida. I married my wonderful husband John on September 1st, 2007. He is wonderfully supportive and understands the challenges with losing weight. We have one gorgeous baby boy, born in April 2012.


Other Information:
I was diagnosed with PCOS over 10 years ago. After reading up on it, I see how it makes losing weight even harder. However, that's the hand I'm dealt - I can either choose to feel sorry for myself, or do something about it and OWN my life! Between my desire to change and my resolution to never give up, I have to succeed!
