Alicia's Goals

When I graduated high school, I was at my highest weight- 198 lbs. Now that I'm a mother, i want to be a healthy and happy example for my son!
I fell off the wagon in 2008, and am now fighting to get back on track! The biggest contributor to my past failure was a major plateau that lasted for several months. I foolishly gave up. Now, scales are completely banished in my home- the only weight on here is the weight I get during doctor's visits.

I measure various body parts each month. That way, I can make sure I am trending downward without obsessing.

I bet you're exhausted! Making a baby has got to be exhausting! I hope your energy levels come up some as the pregnancy goes on. How far along are you now?

Oh wow. That is a ton of stress that you do not need right now. Even if your stepdaughter hadnt been lied to, just having an 11 year old girl is hard; they are so dramatic and emotional. She will probably push back a lot. You have to just show her that you two are not going anywhere and love her through it. It will take time.

Pregnancy acne sounds horrible. Adult acne is bad enough. I dont get much breakouts but I do get body acne and i think that is from all the workouts.

How is the bun in the oven treating you? I am sure you are well past morning sickness and now in the leg cramp stage. I wish you the best and hope you take this opportunity to relax as much as possible before baby arrives.

This was definitely a terrain run, not like the Spartan. I have never run a Spartan. This was extremely difficult because of the route we had to run. We spoke to people that were avid runners, who have run half marathons and marathons and they said this is a brutal run and that this year was harder than last year because they changed the route to include more hills, steep inclines, and rugged terrain. It honestly wouldn't have been as bad if it was just a 5k. That extra 1.25 miles is what jacked me up.
