Thank you for joining me on my journey towards wellness.

After experiencing a heart attack in December, 2006 I was faced with the insurmountable (or so I thought) task of changing my lifestyle.
2 years later, I am well on my way to success, albeit having fallen off the wagon a few times and I am really surprised that it has become much easier than I thought - possible because of the excellent material available today on exercise and diet.

I have recently discovered the Sparkpeople site, and this is the creme de la creme of tools available for a healthy lifestyle - I'm sorry I didn't think of it myself! - Thank you, thank you thank you.

Outside of Sparkpeople, Miriam Neilson, Doctor and Writer is the one person who has motivated me the most and I really love weight watchers too.

Over the years, I have been very interested in nutrition, and became extremely frustrated with conflicting opinions offered. Early on, I followed Adelle Davis; later I read an article by another ‘expert” quoting one of her recipes and saying “should you have enemies, by all means feed them this custard”. Then along came Pritican and upset the apple cart again - even if he was right, too hard to do!

Glad to say today though, I feel as if I have a handle on it and am beginning to practise it most of the time and I could distil a good diet into a few principles.

going to the gym, doint a strength training program, Aqua aerobics, maybe pilates and walking

I am an avidly creative person who loves to play with fiber - dyeing, knitting, spinning and most of all, making hats. I have tried to add a couple of pics of my hats, but not successful yet.
