New Year and A New Me

So I'm on the far side of twenty and I realize I've blown what should have been the best years of my life by being overweight. I'm here to lose weight, get healthy, and live a better life.

I want to clearly illustrate my goals and outline a plan of attack. Preferably not a heart attack.

So here's my plan of attack:
1. Set reasonable short-term goals.
2. Drink water.
3. Get organized.
4. Drop soda.
5. Set reasonable long term goals. ...

My Goals:
1. Lose 10 pounds by June 30, 2011.
2. Lose 60 pounds by December 31st 2011.
3. Get 1 short story Submitted to publisher by May 2011. (Done--Reward: New haircut).
4. Finish my novel by July 2011.
5. Do one thing, everyday, to stay organized.
6. Do one thing everyday to lose weight.

My Program:
I'm setting short term and long term goals. I am hoping to average 8 -10 pounds a month lost. My goal is to lose enough weight to join the reseves: Goal weight: 150. Every 10 pounds lost will be rewarded with something other than food. Lol. Food is a bad way to reward yourself.

Other Information:
I'm a 27 yo WF in a LTR. I'm a girlfriend, a friend, a student, a writer, a sister, a daughter, a feminist, an activist...I have many faces and none of them are me...and all of them are me.

Things are pretty good with me, thank you! How 'bout you? When is your big day again? Are you getting excited?
I spent part of today curled up with cramps and feeling sorry for myself, and then I dragged my butt out of bed and started a long overdue project: cleaning out my closet. Whoo-hoo. My purge pile is growing. It's a good thing!

How did the upper body work go this week? I only did one day of lower body st, but it was a good one. Wish I'd snuck in one other day, but oh well. I"m going to make my calories burned goal for the week and I"m feeling good about things overall. Drop by and let me know how you are doing...
