Hi I am Alicia. I am 24 years old and married to a wonderful and supporting husband. I am not trying to lose weight to improve my self image but to improve my health. The last year was been hard on my body and I need to get back to my old self which I think will help with fitness and proper eating again. I really don't have much to say but I am always willing to help the best I can.

April 2008.
Since starting my weight loss Journey back in October I have loss over 20 lbs I have about another 25 or so to go before I meet my ultimate goal. I have made a Challenge for myself to make my 10% goal by the end of the April and reward myself with a facial and pedicure as well as my mom for meeting hers.
My Journey so far as not been easy since I have been dealing with health issues and will probably be dealing with it until I am in surgery which can be awhile still. I have decided I will not let my health issue restrain me from getting back to the way I was before I had these issues. I might take me awhile but it will be worth the challenge and well worth the effort.
Since starting my Journey I have also started exercising more and hoping that it will continue. I try to go to Curves at least 4X a week and do my Turbo Jam when I am not doing that. I am also hoping to be able to start walking like I use to but I am not going to be upset if that is something I can't do yet.
It is my Journey and Only I can determine the Destination.

May 2008
So I went into surgery for my appendix on May 2nd and since than my eating has been terrible. I have been trying to eat right and normal but it isn't work to well for me at the moment. So I have decided that today May 25th that I would start back on journaling everything I eat and actually weighing everything again. I am also going to try and exercise this week for the first time since my surgery which was 3 weeks ago. My exercise will be simple like playing the DDR on the WII and maybe turbo jam but I will not push it if it hurts. I can tell my energy level is back to where it was before I was exercising and I don't like the way I feel. So exercise here I come.

January 2009.
The first full week of 2009 and I need to get my butt back into gear. I joined the Sparkpeople Boot Camp. I am going to start tracking points. I need to get back into eating right and losing the weight I gained since I was not eating right. 2009 Here I am come and am ready for any challenges that come along with this year.

February 2009
So I have not been committed to tracking the month of January and I decided that Weight Watchers might not be for me. I am still going to track but I am going to try and eat clean and see if this motivates me. I need to do something and maybe not having to worry about points but still eating healthy. I hope this is something I need

My Program:
The program I have been using since Oct. is Weight Watchers. I just started going to Curves in the middle of march and started doing my Turbo Jam again. I am also going to try and walk as often as I can

    Good for you!! I don't go to meetings...not that interested, I guess. I really like online (especially because it's cheaper! LOL) Let me know how you like the Y! It's been a long time since I've had a gym membership.... There's not one that is really close to me at the moment, so not that motivated, I guess. Besides, my apt. complex has some nice equipment that I can use for free! Congrats on the new TJ's been SUCH a long time since I've used mine...maybe I'll break one out tonight. :-)

    My new year is going good so far. I've finally weighed in below 150 for the first time since high school, and I've signed up for 3 5K I'm actually staying pretty motivated. Getting up at 5 to workout is HARD, though! LOL. I am a little worried about my WI this week, though...but it's not until Saturday and I have 3 workouts between now and then and good healthy eating tomorrow, too.... Anything new with you?

    Hey there girlie! How's it going? ;-) Thanks for commenting on my blog...funny...I don't usually have cheat days, so today was an exception...but I think that it's important not to deprive yourself. :-)
