I'm ** years old, notice it's not into 3 digits.....yet. :D but halfway there, ok, over half, BUt I'm getting offtrack, you'll find that a lot with me. I tend to wander, it's inherited, my Dad was like that...I miss him, he passed away 2/10/12 and is my incentive to lose the weight I'd regained when he was ill and in the hospital with 2 rare diseases. They'd found this VERY healthy man, rarely sick a day in his life, had a brain tumor on my sister's and my birthdays in October, 2011. He went through surgery to have the tumor removed and came out with flying colors. Re-entering the hospital Nov 2, 2011 for dehydration, he came down with not one, but TWO rare diseases while in ICU; Herpes Simplex Encephalitis in the brain, and Aspergillis in the lungs. He left the hospital the end of January after the brain tumor returned, and passed on 2/10/12...the same day a few years after my uncle had passed, and unbeknownst to us at the time, the same day my aunt would pass in 2013. I think I'm going to avoid Feb. 10th from now on! ANYWAY,

I want to re-lose those 60 pounds and whatever else I've gained, and more. I'd like to get down to 170, and I know I can do it..I just have to keep at it. I did the 60 once, so there's no reason I can't do it again.

I've had Type 1 Diabetes since 1975 and on shots, until about 10 years ago when I started the insulin pump WHICH I LOVE. My control was so much better..until I switched to the new model recently, and then my blood sugars went whacky. But I'm slowly getting them back under control, took a couple of weeks, but I have.

I married my one love on August 21, 1982 and we have 2 wonderful kids, Scott & Brande whom I'm very proud of...just ask if you dare. :D

Well, now you know something about me..oh.....a secret....I have ALWAYS hated exercise, BUT I am doing it. I used to walk 1-1.5 miles a day, but stopped that, but I've gotten back to doing exercise every morning, so that's good....at least I think so...and that's what matters, right? :)

As I always like to say, pass on a smile to another, and you pass on a smile TO THE WORLD!!

My Goals:
I would love to lose 100 pounds if not more, but for now, I'd be happy with that. I had lost 60 before, but regained it, and I think more (haven't been weighed lately).

My Program:
I've been watching my food thanks to the Diabetes nutrition plan here, exercising, FINALLY, and having a much better attitude.

Personal Information:
I live with my Husband, and our 2 kids, well 1 of them part of the time, she goes from our home to her BF's, but hey, she's over age, so that's her choice. oh, and 3 shetland ponies (our daughters) and one Golden Retriever who is spoiled rotten.

Other Information:
I LOVE the Packers, Brewers, Fishing, oh and reading Jim Butcher books, especially the Dresden Files series. I had the opportunity to meet him down in IL a couple years ago and it was so INCREDIBLE. I also love his wife, Shannon's Sentinel Wars series. I used to twitter with Jim's sister alot, she's a writer too, but I've not been on twitter lately so I miss talking to her. :(

LOL My body DEMANDED a stay-at-home day, so I listened, and yes, it was totally the right thing to do!

Have a fabulous weekend.

Id like to invite you to join in my challenge to lose 10 pound in Feb The goal is 10 pounds but really u do what u can. The decision to how much is ultimately up to you. i know some of us might be saying 10 pounds? WOW, that is too much! cant do it! But i am here to tell u i did it for 7 months straight, (lost 75 pounds) b4 i got sick with cancer and had dropped out for a yr and a half. unfortunately due to lack of activity it took me 3 yrs to gain it back but im back to tell you that with your help I can do it again. if u stay within ur calories that are alotted and if u track everything that passes ur lips u can do it too. I was never one that stayed on a diet before, for more than 3 weeks at a time, and then I'd get discouraged and dropped off. i lost 75 pounds just doing calorie counting and tracking to make sure i never went over. i barely exercised ...i am handicapped and i cant do exercises in the conventional way but i flapped my arms while showering, and sitting did leg raises, went up and down my stairs whenever it struck me to do so. i did very minimal stuff. the idea was to keep moving and i did that. so i know with disipline, encouragement and motivation u can too.. so i invite u to come and join me on my 10 pound challenge! emoticon emoticon
click on link below! or if that doesnt work cut and paste it! please join me on my new journey to begin again!!

The skin is tempting for sure. I usually roast the poultry w/the skin on then remove it. Sometimes I will throw it in with the bones to give flavor to stock. Yeah, pheasant is fatty!

I do love baked salmon and cod. Otherwise, I prefer poached or wrapped in a pouch (aluminum foil or baking parchment) with veggies, a drizzle of olive oil and let it bake. Moist.

HUGS
