Time for a change and time to start now

Welcome to my page. I am divorced and a mother of 2, 13 yr old boy and 6 yr old girl. I have not been as motivated this past year to lose weight, a lot had to do with the divorce. But I am now ok with it, as a matter of fact I am excited for it to be finalized. I still need motivation, I still do a lot of lagging. I have ignored sparkpeople for probably the last year. I have gained a little, just a little, weight. But I am now back in full force and ready to lose all this weight.

Thanks for commenting on my blog!

I've been looking into getting our girls into VBS for at least a year--last year, we discovered that our older girl (who's 4) was too young, still, and it seems like 5-6 is the starting age for just about everything. We don't lead very social lives, and our home church is so small our girls are the only kids there, so they don't even have a Sunday School class--we've been so happy to get involved in another local church, which is much bigger and has so many things going on, especially for the children! They go to Awanas and we do their Wednesday night Bible study classes, too. It's too big for us to feel comfortable changing our home, though.

On this Memorial Day Weekend as we remember and honor those who have served our country I am sharing a beautiful song by the Gaither Vocal Band, Let Freedom Ring (to hear it copy and paste this link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVVbSXz7
jaU )

Deep within the heart has always known that there was freedom
Somehow breathed into the very soul alive
The prisoner, the powerless, the saved have always known it
There?s something that keeps reaching for the sky

Even life begins because a baby fights for freedom
And songs we love to sing have freedom?s theme
Some have walked through fire and flood to find a place of freedom
And some faced hell itself for freedom?s dream

Let freedom ring wherever minds know what it means to be in chains
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
We can be free and we can sing --- let freedom ring

God built freedom into every fiber of creation
And He meant for us to all be free and whole
When my Lord bought freedom with the blood of His redemption
His cross stamped pardon on my very soul

I?ll sing it out with every breath, I?ll let the whole world hear it
This hallelujah anthem of the free
That iron bars and heavy chains can never hold us captive
The Son has made us free and free indeed

Let freedom ring down through the ages from a hill called Calvary
Let freedom ring wherever hearts know pain
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring
Let freedom echo through the lonely streets where prisons have no key
You can be free and you can sing let freedom ring
You can be free and you can sing --- let freedom ring --- let freedom ring

From CML team These lyrics from Tenth Avenue North have spoken to me especially when I am struggling. I hope they minister to you.

"Worn"

Iím Tired Iím worn
My heart is heavy
From the work it takes
To keep on breathing
Iíve made mistakes
Iíve let my hope fail
My soul feels crushed
By the weight of this world

And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart
Thatís frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all thatís dead inside can be reborn
Cause Iím worn

I know I need to lift my eyes up
But I'm too weak
Life just wonít let up
And I know that you can give me rest
So I cry out with all that I have left

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart
Thatís frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all thatís dead inside can be reborn
Cause Iím worn

My prayers are wearing thin
Yeah, Iím worn
Even before the day begins
Yeah, Iím worn
Iíve lost my will to fight
Iím worn
So, heaven come and flood my eyes

Let me see redemption win
Let me know the struggle ends
That you can mend a heart
Thatís frail and torn
I wanna know a song can rise
From the ashes of a broken life
And all thatís dead inside can be reborn
Cause all thatís dead inside will be reborn

Though Iím worn
Yeah Iím worn

Please stop by the team and get involved. And please continue to pray for CyclingSandy and her husband.

From CML team
Tomorrow is Easter - Jesus is Risen! Here are the lyrics of a new song by Kari Jobe "Forever" that expresses our hope in Jesus

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Savior of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse was broken

One final breath He gave
As Heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting
Our resurrected King has rendered you defeated

Forever, He is glorified
Forever, He is lifted high
Forever, He is risen
He is alive
He is alive
