Fat! Be Gone!

My whole life I have always been overweight. To make a very long story short I was overweight up until college when I became very overweight and was diagnosed with Hashimoto's hypothyroidism. I've battled gaining weight and constant medicine changes for several years. I'm very excited and I'm working really hard to make sure that I can reach my goals. I seem to occasionally loose weight in the short run, but gain it back in the long run. I think it's easy to discipline yourself into not ...

I've battled gaining weight and constant medicine changes for several years. I'm very excited and I'm working really hard to make sure that I can reach my goals. I seem to occasionally loose weight in the short run, but gain it back in the long run. I think it's easy to discipline yourself into not eating all the foods you want for a certain amount of time, but then one day you give into that craving- "just once", of course, and it tends to go downhill from there. At this moment I am putting my faith in the methods brought forth in the book "Made to Crave" and praying for the best.

Goals:

1: Join the Under 200 club!

2: Loose 10% of my body weight.

3: Develop a Healthy Eating Plan.

4: Love My Healthy Eating Plan!

5: Reach a weight that makes me feel strong and healthy!

My Goals:

I want to finally be comfortable with myself after a long struggle with thyroid problems! I want to loose the weight I put on in pregnancy plus some extra. I want to be around for and be active with my family for a very long time. Skinny jeans, here I come!

My Program:
I am using the book "Made to Crave" by Lysa TerKeurst to help me to crave what I need and not what I want and to motivate me to stick with it. I am eating a doctor recommended diet that is low in sugary, starchy foods, and consists of healthy meats, veggies, fruits, and a few whole grains.

Personal Information:
My name is Amber. I'm 26 years old, 5'4", and I'm married to my wonderful husband. We have three kids: 3 years old, 2 years old & a newborn. Yes, we are busy. We also have a giant horde of animals. (See my pics to check them all out!). My husband and I currently live in Eastern Oregon. I'm a nursing student and I'm hoping to become healthier and more fit.

Hi! I also have hypothyroidism and find it so hard to balance my medication and potential weight-loss plans. It's nice to see that someone else out there has the same struggles I do!
