There's a difference in living and living well

Almost a year has passed since I first joined sparkpeople, so it seamed like it was a good time to update my sparkpage.

With a new year, I feel like it's a new beginning.

I lost 20 pounds of the 25 that sparks said I needed to loose and then decided I would be able to loose another 5 (30 total) to get into the best shape I had ever been in. With a new year, I feel like it's a new beginning.

Sparks has been a great tool to help me get in shape and loose weight. I lost 20 pounds of the 25 that sparks said I needed to loose and then decided I would be able to loose another 5 (30 total) to get into the best shape I had ever been in. It would only take another 10 pounds and some hard work. I felt I had the knowledge that I now needed to do it.

Then life got really crazy. We spent three months traveling with my 77 year old mother in law. Eating on the road and driving a total of 20,000 miles. That's a lot of sitting. There were emotional stresses along with lack of physical activity and I packed back on 10 of the 20 pounds I had lost.

With life now back to its normal routine I still believe I can get into the kind of shape that I wanted to be in. It will take a little longer now and hopefully I've learned a little more along the way.

Thanks to sparks, all the great people, all the wonderful motivation, and super recipes for making this a successful year.

My Goals:
Get Fit!!! Not just thin, but for once in my life get in shape.

My Program:
I faithfully use the nutrition tracker and plan all of my meals ahead of time. Staying within range has become a fun and exciting challenge for me. I do strength training three days a week and get outside to walk or hike through the woods as much as possible. The winters always make that more of a challenge however.

God has bless our lives in so many ways, but the greatest is the grace that He gives us every day.
