Good Morning emoticon
Wow! Long message on my page emoticon
It sounds like your summer is shaping up pretty good. Sorry you don't have the space or sun for a garden. I really like it when everything is ready to pick, all of the work required before that, not so much. Usually Rod is the gardening person, I'm hoping that next year he'll be able to do it again.
I think you're right, Katie will feel much better once her roommate returns. It's nice that she's close enough for you to be able to visit once in awhile. It sounds like she has a pretty busy summer lined up too.
I wish I had another brilliant idea for Father's Day but I'm afraid I'm fresh out of ideas. How about an ice cream maker? I just ordered a refurbished Cuisinart that doesn't require ice, you keep part of it in the freezer before using it. It got good reviews and cost less than half of the new price. We're going to have a LOT of fruit once our fruit trees all start producing so I'm trying to come up with ideas of what to do with it all. We have 3 apple trees that are already pulling the limbs down with all the apples. We also have peach, persimmon (we think) and plum as well as strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. I told Rod yesterday we may have to think about getting a bigger freezer.
Hope your weekend is great!

Hi emoticon
Thanks for stopping by my page to read my blog. It's always nice to hear form you. I've been pretty busy lately and haven't really had time to do much Sparking lately, maybe things will calm down some for me soon. I posted a link to a video on my Facebook page about women, weight loss and self esteem. I found it on SparkPeople and thought it was really good. I don't think many people saw the link though because no one commented or "liked" it. I wrote another blog with some pictures of Rod's shop we've been working on, our new computer desks and the bunk bed I put together yesterday. I think I'm going to try and slow down some for the next couple of days because I've managed to inflame my elbow quite a lot. Hope everything is still good with you, I imagine you're getting close to the end of the school year and hopefully a couple week break before summer school starts. emoticon

Word to the wise: Don't try on anything at target! Did that today The lighting in there is terrible and there were three, count em three mirrors perfectly placed to see all the things I did not feel the need to see under harsh lighting! LOL

Trying on that pair of shorts today was a bad idea!

TJMAXX...now they are smart! they have flattering lighting and only the one mirror in the changing stall. If you want to look at the three way its outside the room so you have to have to be fully clothed to step out there. At least I do. No way I'M going out there in my undies......

Between the lighting which improves a gals self image and the prices, I buy things in there way more often.

Consider yourself warned!!!!! LOL

Have a happy Wednesday!

Well I sure hope your Monday was the new start you hoped for after that weekend "slip up" lol I sure hope you put away the guilt and shame stick cuz boy oh boy you were hitting yourself hard with that thing! LOL
It's good you recognized that while the food and wine fest was a bit much...you did at least put in lots of exercise so not a total loss. Like you said you were on a roll before that so just see it for what it was, one bad day, and move on. These last two days have been beauties haven't they? Surely they must've been calling you to get out and walk....nothing better than that on a sunshiny day. Stick to your plan. track. drink your water. It'll all be fine. At least it'll flush out the salt and adult beverage bloat!
BTW I have the same sausage in a the casing problem with my shorts from last summer too! I can put em on but it's not real perty. Nope! I kinda like breathing. LOL So here we are...we are working on it. One day at a time. That's all we can do right? That and not buy another bottle of wine for a while. :)
You know what... I dared to step on the scale. I mean its just been going up and up and up. Well, I did it while holding my breathe of course and wearing nothing and crossing my fingers as the numbers ticked away. The darned thing said I dropped 4lbs! But I'm not inclined to believe it much. She's a sneaky machine. I'm holding on to the fact that its progress in the right direction , however big an illusion it might be. Not going to do that again until i'm having a feeling thin, doing good kinda day. Hopefully she says nice things to me again! LOL
Shorts are still snug though...just sayin.

Keep on sparking and trying, my friend, YOU can do this! WE can do this together. Have a great week. TTYL
