Thank you Anne for your kind and encouraging comment on my page. At the moment I just can't figure out what my problem is motivation wise that is. Otherwise, I know I eat too much and don't move enough, since I am in pain. I just don't seem to have the oomph. Thank you for being my friend and for not giving up on me.
Remember that 4lbs I the scale (aka machine of lies! LOL) well two of them are BACK! or so it says. UGH! Whatever.....I'll bet if I stepped on the scale later in the afternoon it might even say those lbs are NOT there. Fickle machines scales are!
I do think that despite the numbers on the scale my frame is thinner and tighter from putting in the workouts. I sometimes doubt that too. My daughters comment really helped. She says my saddlebags and derriere are looking trimmer....she noticed, must be true right?
You are right, clothes are a better indicator! stick with that. Yea mighta been the teriyaki chicken, who knows.
I feel like at our age it just requires more stamina to keep going, to do the right thing, especially with hormonal shifts and all. Frustrating as all hell but lets not give up.

I keep thinking in my head, like a mantra these days, "I WILL be thinner, the lbs WILL be gone, I CAN do this! Tho I keep having to turn the volume up from a whisper to shout!!!! Just to be sure I hear myself LOL

Ice cream....yeah, hard to turn down at this time of year especially but tossing frozen fruit in the food processor with other ingredients can make a pretty good alternative. My favorite lately is frozen banana, almond milk (just enough to get things started) chocolate protein powder and a drop or two of almond extract. Then since it's a pretty healthy and low count treat, I stir some sliced almonds and chocolate chips into it....a very acceptable concrete mixer results...fruit, protein and yes....chocolate! YAY!
