My name is Sarah. I am an Air Force wife to an AMAZING Airman and mother to a 29-week-premature miracle baby boy. Life has been crazy, and boy oh boy did I let it get the best of me! All my hard work in the past... gone. I am now 167 lbs and .4 BMI points away from being considered obese. Though I do take the BMI chart with a grain of salt, this is, indeed, a serious wake-up call. I have to do better. My husband and son are counting on me to be around for a very long time and if I don't take care of that now, while I'm young, that may not be a possibility. This fight with my weight is now a war - a war that I cannot lose. It's time to fight like a girl - no holds barred. ;)
I want to become a healthier and happier individual. I want to get more out of life than what I have been getting in years past. I want to strengthen my relationships with God, my family, and my friends.
I don't follow any specific program of diet or exercise. I feel as though proper diet and exercise should be well-balanced. Moderation in both is absolutely key.
I'm from a small rural town in North Carolina. Since July 2013, I have been living in Charleston, South Carolina with my military husband. I am so thankful the Lord has blessed me with this (GORGEOUS!) man of God! God uses him everyday to keep me going strong! And now I have this handsome baby boy?! I couldn't be more blessed!

Hey Girl!! How you hanging in there?! What I have is Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome,( in my right knee) but its also known as runners knee. I believe you on the pain this is girl---it is something tough! :( I'm taking lots of pain meds/anti inflammatories/icing/elevating etc....still waiting for my MSK knee Ultrasound & have a requisition for physio therapy, but I'm really hoping the ultrasound results will help get me in sooner! (As the "soonest" right now is April!!!) So its a sweet blessing you got physio going right away, esp since it is in both knees. But you are right--we gotta concentrate on the positives--I am doing some upper ST-- 3x a week and that helps me feel encouraged.
Plus to get up and down stairs I have to use my arms to pull my bodys weight, ( I sit while going up & down) so that's a rather odd bonus. :) So, hey--what do you got lined up for upper ST? We can cheer each other on! :) Right now I have a 17 minute program. I do about 4 different exercises (on each arm) and then do 25-30? reps for each exercise ( I think that's where I'm at?!) lol. Today my brain is SO foggy! Anyways, whatever you do, keep your chin up! We'll get through this!!! Life sure can throw some curve balls sometimes, but you & I are gonna make an awesome comeback! :D

Ah, girl I'm sorry to hear that happened--but I'm glad you got a diganosis and you are getting help. I was diagnosised with a similar thing to Runners knee-it has another scientific name-but same thing. It happened to me when I was into running back in 2010! I did physio therapy and that super healped.... healed up real nicely--Tip: just do everything faithfully. Be patient and it will heal :) (However, ironically, I've just (a week ago) reinjured the same knee and my doctor thinks its the same thing flaring up, but this time it seems much worse, so I think I damaged something else. :P I'm waiting to get a special test done. So I can TOTALLY sympathize with you! Saying a prayer for special strength for you. Something that is helping me right now: Focus on what you CAN do, not what you can't do. Does it bring a certain verse to mind to help you do those things before you? :) Cheering for you. Injuries are hard ones--def not things we plan on! But girl, they can sure make us stronger in character and determination/endurance. We can do this!

How'd your workout go?? Hope you weren't too tired this morning! Keep putting one step in front of the other, esp when you are tired, and just remind yourself *YOU ARE WORTH EVERY STEP*!
