I've wanted to lose the extra pounds for years. December 1, 2008 I decided it was time to make it happen, so that's what I am working on. 1)Take the extra pounds off. 2) Keep them off...forever.
Running 3 days a week, practicing portion control, aikido, strength training with resistance bands.
regarding the hula hoop. I'm almost 47, I remember loving it as a child. The weighted hoop does help. I looked dreadful when I first started, I just kept at it. My 18 year old couldn't keep it going. It's one of those things that just takes persistence. The funny thing about it, after I started, I noticed I had much better mobility in my back than previously. It seemed to loosen something up. It felt really good. Don't let the mental hurdle get you. We can never get any better at anything unless we try. You can do it!
