Here on out...

I graduated from college with a B.A. in English, and boy am I singing the song. There are so many places I'd like to go, so many experiences I'd like to have, but I've let my weight stand in the way for so long that I'm not sure I know how to try anymore.

I'd like to start a life without being so self-conscious that I'm afraid to participate in things I know I enjoy. I'm young yet but there's so much to do and still so little time to do it all.

I'd like to start a life without being so self-conscious that I'm afraid to participate in things I know I enjoy. I'm young yet but there's so much to do and still so little time to do it all.

Being fit is part of my life's goal. I simply don't see myself the way I am now in any of the visions I have for the future, no matter what I end up doing. There is no option: this is simply what I am going to do.

I've started and stopped this train so many times. I've weighed as much as 220 pounds when I was in a bad relationship and unhappy with my college, and as low as 140 pounds when one of my best friends from high school died in a car crash and my boyfriend was addicted to porn.

A mental disorder is now a part of my life. I have to accept that there are some days where, for no reason at all, I'm going to feel like the scum of the earth, and others where I'll be convinced I can do anything no matter what. It makes things challenging, sure, but I've made a promise to myself:

Never set limits on what you can achieve.

Moderately low-calorie diet, cardio 3-5x a week, strength/resistance training 2-3x a week.
