Being healthy is not about going through a short period of torment and sacrifice in hopes that you lose weight. There's no quick fix or magic pill. Being healthy is a lifestyle that is formed by following good habits. It takes work and it takes time. Most importantly it takes making changes you can live with and improve upon.

In the beginning my goal was to lose weight, but as I have gained distance on my journey my goals have changed to do what I can to live a happy healthy life. Exercise, Eat Clean and Challenge Myself.

Personal Information:
I live in Indianapolis. I have a full-time job as a graphic designer. I love sports, music and food. I've always been active and involved in sports, which helped me maintain a healthy weight for most of my younger years. However, my habits as a young person didn't work as I got older. I gained weight, and I didn't understand why I couldn't lose any of it. I was depressed, disappointed in myself and in denial. Then thankfully, one day in September 2011 I decided I needed to make a lifestyle change. I swallowed my pride, took a deep breath and took the jump. I haven't looked back since. I've learned that being healthy isn't about feeling deprived. It's about making good choices and developing good habits that I can live with. I've lost 30 pounds and I continually make changes to improve my health. As my body shrinks my confidence, positivity and personality grows. I'm a different person than I was on that September day. Being proud of yourself is an amazing feeling that everyone deserves
