2012 : A New Year and a New ME!

I have had a lot of medical problems. I am tired of that being the reason that I am slowly gaining weight month after month. I am fed up with being cooped up in the house all the time. I want to get out and do things and go places and be a part of life again. I want to have energy to enjoy life again. I want to have fun and not be left out when others are having fun. That is what I want.

Jan 30 - went to doc a day early due to sickness weighed in at 221.2

Jan 31 - (219 lbs) was my goal I am 2 pounds behind schedule- not scolding myself I was sick + I am building muscle. I will continue to lose.

Feb 13 - (217 lbs) is my goal

My Program:
I am not really following a specific diet program. I call it the "THIS n THAT" I need to start doing "THIS" instead of "That". For instance, walk(this) instead of sitting on the couch (that), eat baked or grilled instead of fried, fruit instead of chips...so THIS n That..

Personal Information:
I am 42 year old happily married mother of two grown children. I live in Gadsden, Alabama. I am an avid couponer & love to try to get things super cheap and free. I am also a crafter extraordinaire. I am already planning and scheming on how to plant my garden area this spring and where to put my flowers. I love to grow things, whether they be flowers or veggies.

Other Information:
I love to read and when I can't read, I love to put my headphones on and listen to audio books. If you have a great one, please send me a recommendation! I also like to do research on the internet and in the library. I have an insatiable thirst for knowledge and love learning new things.

I enjoyed the Hunger Games Trilogy myself. I hear part of it is coming to theaters soon too.

Hi there.
I saw in your profile that you are welcome to recommend audio books. Have you heard anything read by Kathrine Kelgren? She reads a series of young adult books called "The Adventures of Jacky Faber". Even though these are targeted toward young adult readers I loved them. My parents loved them. Anyone I have referred to them has loved them. The first book in the series is called "Bloody Jack: The Adventures of Jacky Faber, Ships Boy".

Thank you for your comments as well =) These storms and fluctuating temps make me and my family sick alot here lately. We use about a box of tissues a day! Looks like I will be doing some indoor exercises today. emoticon
