Reclaming my life back so I can be happy again for once

Not to just win the money(though it would be nice) but to learn to lose the weight and get healthy.

Update 3/21/13
Not sure what I am doing!!! I had lost almost 80lbs six months ago and now I have gained about 40blbs back. I recently found out I had a few extra health problems and was really stressed out about. That did it to me. I took most of my energy and worried about these issues. What I didn't realize is that all the hard work I had put into losing weight to get healthy. I guess I thought there was no point in continuing. Now that I have been off track for six months I am back again to the point of not being happy. Its funny how I let weight define my happiness. If only I could lose weight to be happy. I need to just be happy regardless. I know I felt better about myself when I didn't weigh as much. So now to get back on track. Its a little harder this time. I don't have a lot of energy. I am lacking some in motivation. I started going back to school part time. And raising my four kids has put a toll on me so far at this point. I would love to fix this problem and I am back to get some help and support to maybe get me on the right path again.


Update 9/15/11
Well things aren't going so well. Haven't been feeling like myself since all this weight loss stuff happening. Once again. I tried to diet before the same way by restricting calories and starting feeling ill. I would feel dizzy and lethargic and just couldn't get things done like I did before I started wanting to lose weight. So this has happened twice the first time I quit restriciting my calories and just didn't exercise (except for the normal stuff I do everyday around the house as I am a stay at home mom) and I didn't lose any weight. Stayed the same.

This time I have to make different I have decided that I may no longer be able to restrict my calories down to 1200-1500 without feeling ill but I can eat like I normally would with some exceptions and exercise. I just know that I am not destined to stay this way forever.

After two years of struggling with my weight I went to the doctor and was prescribed phentermine. I started to lose weight and couldn't believe the effects. After 10 days I had lost 20lbs. I had never been so excited. Then in a flash it was all taken away from me. I started to feel extremeley sick. I was getting chest pains, hard to breath, just really sick really fast. Went into the doc and after some blood work came to find out that my thyroid stopped working.

What a relief I thought. Now maybe an answer as to why I couldn't lose weight. Why I was so tired all the depressed and tired all the time. But the doctor told me that it can take some time before I will start feeling better. It could take a year before my levels were right again. Well I didn't want to wait that long. I have been on the same dose of synthroid now for three months but think its time to up my dose again. Starting too feel the fatigue once again. Going back tommorrow to have it checked again.

I am looking for some support to lose weight as I am by myself on this thing. My parents have passed, my siblings and I live a different lifestyle and don't live close by. I don't have many friends. So would like to meet some people that can help along the path to a better healthier life style.

My Goals:
I think it is time to establish some new goals for myself. Over all weight goal would love to be at 140lbs for sure. I don't know why that number but I think I would be happy with that. I was somewhat close to that before I gained back half of my weight I lost so here I go again.

So by April 4th that is in two weeks I would like to lose 5lbs.

May 4 2013 I would like to lose another 5 lbs

and why don't we continue to say 5 pounds a month for now.





My Program:
Right now what I am doing and what seemed to work before was to count my calories. I need to pick up on my walking again as well.
