My name is Anna. I'm a 38 year old audiologist living in Minneapolis. I started on my weight loss adventure in February of 2010 after learning that I would be presenting to over 200 people (my first time speaking publicly) in October of that year. I successfully dropped 20 of the 60 pounds in my goal, which helped tremendously with my confidence. In 2012, I was back at that conference as a presenter again, but this time at a svelte 155 pounds. I was able to use my story to "gain the attention" of the audience and relate it to struggles our patients go through to maintain the positive changes in their life. I maintained my 60 pound weight loss for two year until I took on a new role with my company that required significant travel, increased responsibility and more time at work. My workout schedule of 4-5 Zumba classes per week was interrupted. Missed classes turned into no classes and I now find myself up 30 pounds. I'm ready to find balance in 2016 and work off those clingy 30 pounds to get back to the version of me that I'm most comfortable with and identify with.

My Goals:
June 2011

1. Drink minimum 8 glasses of water each day.

2. Complete 2 Zumba classes and one Body Works or Total Body Conditioning class a week.

3. Use the Nutrition Tracker to keep myself honest.


My Program:
Joining LA Fitness in August 2010 was the best thing I ever did! I would encourage anyone to join a gym.

I'm totally into movies both on the big screen and DVD.

I'm also into TV, but have been trying to wean myself from it. ~ Amazing Race & House are two that will have to stay on my list!

Also, be proud of yourself for catching yourself at 20 lbs gain back. It sucks gaining all the weight back and now struggling to get any gains in weight loss since then. I'm holding the line at 4 lbs loss from that ugly 200, but I will take it. One day at a time, one choice at a time, we will get there.
