As much as I'd like to say that growing old doesn't matter to me, I'd be lying if I did. The truth is, I don't like the fact that I am no longer young. So, I dedicate this page to my attempts at maintaining a healthy lifestyle and feeling as well as I possibly can for as long as I possibly can.

Wow...you're in the 140's now!!! I"m SO proud of you - it won't be long now! AND you can say, at least about this portion, "I finished the race" when you reach your goal weight - and get a little "taste" of that heavenly feeling...Good on you!

Karen - It's almost like you're reading my thoughts. It really means a lot to hear such encouraging words, especially when I really have been feeling like this is it for me. Thanks for the prayers and giving me hope.

Thank you, Karen. This week, I have been thinking about promises I received from the Lord in the past. There's something about turning 50 that makes me feel a little bit that maybe the best of my life is over and what do I have to look forward to? But Abraham was much older than that when he saw the fulfillment of God's promises to him, so that is something to keep in mind, right?

The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. (Isaiah 58:11).

Karen, this picture doesn't have much to do with the scripture but in it, you were a well that ran deep, with streams of cold water running at the bottom. The well was surrounded by a beautiful garden with bushes, flowers, trees and birds. The only problem was that the well was not kept up. You could tell, that it hadn't been used in a long time because the rod and handle were missing, hence no rope, no bucket, no way for anyone to get to the cold water. Anyway, I just felt like God wants to restore those tools so that people can drink that cold, cold, refreshing water. Also, I even imagined myself on a hot summer day, leaning over the well to get some of the cool, cool breeze.... ahhh.... so refreshing. Many blessings my sister. May God restore those giftings that run deep, that bring renewal and a freshness to others.
