Hi guys! I joined SP back in 2007 and was pretty successful. I had quit smoking and lost 30 lbs. Too successful, actually. I got complacent with my progress and started thinking I didn't "need" this place anymore. I felt great, I looked great..I was fine!

Except, I still needed this place. It took a few years, but eventually the weight crept right back on & I picked up smoking again. Stupid.

Anyway, I ditched the smokes for good over 2 years ago, but the weight seems to have stuck. So now I'd like to tackle that.

It's not even about my size/weight--I just felt awful. I don't like feeling tired or sick or like a lumbering hulk. So, I'm going to change that.

I plan on giving myself a challenge each month, and keeping a daily goals list. I already know that counting calories leads to madness with me, so I will only track WHAT I eat, not HOW MUCH and stick to reasonable portions.

I don't have a goal date in mind: it will happen, when it happens. And since this is a lifestyle change--it doesn't matter what the "end date" is, does it?

My Goals:
I would like to eventually attain a normal BMI. Ideally, I would like to make my goal weight 145 lbs, which would put me in the "upper" range of my normal BMI.

(I also want to run a 5K in less than 30 min. and to ride a century sometime in 2012)


My Program:
I ride my bike daily.

I set daily fitness goals.

I log my meals & snacks.

I blog everyday.



Personal Information:
Yes, I'm a big Betty Page fan.

I'm a police officer in a metropolitan city. I love my job. Donuts are a job hazard!

I have 7 tattoos (2 of them are Betty Page).

I live with my cat, Indiana Jones*.

*RIP Indy. My cat died in April 2011 :-(

I also live with my wonderful boyfriend (aka The Boy).

    thanks for the comment on my blog - I have some of my own stretch bands - I can use them instead of the Wii's - cool.

    My timeline is similar to yours - joined in 2007 and made great progress an then through the holidays that year I regressed. But now I'm back at it - not seeing real progress yet - but expecting.
