100 week appenticeship

I am a formerly athletic mother of two boys. I continue to play on a women's soccer team, and had managed to convince myself that as long as I could be active, my weight didn't matter. Well, my weight does matter. It is so much work to move this weight around, and I feel so disappointed in myself. I hit bottom after Wednesday night's(June 16, 2010) soccer game, and I'm vowing to be a better player at 45 than I am right now at 40.

Thank you for your email. I really enjoyed reading your comments and they meant so much to me. You can do this, we can do this. It just takes time and a little effort. I'm learing so much about me, and I thought I knew a lot already (LOL), but it is a wonderful journey that I am going through right now.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
