Amanda - your page caught my eye from the Blood Thinners group. I, too have genetic mutation that has caused all kinds of issues in my life...Migraines, Crohn's disease, pre-eclampsia in pregnancy 2x, and finally a massive DVT in my leg after a meniscus repair surgery. I am on an injectable blood thinner, Arixtra, and have been for 10 months. Hopefully I can stop that at some point soon :) Stay strong...and stay healthy by doing the exercise, IT IS SOOO IMPORTANT! You are so fortunate to have found your problem at such a young age so you can control it. There is a new drug out...in fact, it's on the Spark homepage today. I'm definitely interested in finding out more info :) Best of luck to you!!! 1998 days ago

Hey thank you for the welcome to bloodclot team! One trip to the ER changed my life as well. I had broke my foot and about 4 months after I had kept asking my dr why my leg was so swollen, it had been swollen from the beginning, but he said that was normal. I was scheduled to have a hysterectomy the day befor my 29th birthday and we found my clot 4 days before that. My clot was from my foot to above my knee. I have destroyed main veins now and I will also be on blood thinners for life. My dr told me that if i would of had my surgery I would have definitely thrown a clot and died because pelvic surgery has a high risk of blood clots. We are here because the Lord said that it is not our time. I will be talking to you soon! Julia 2222 days ago
I just saw your request to be a team leader on my team..i know I haven't been very active on there I guess I was too pre-occupied with my other team. So I have made you into a co-leader I hope that you will have fun with the team and bring it to life!!!
