My Goals:
I want to lose 25 pounds by May 31st, the day I turn 30 years old. I'm tired of not being able to wear my clothes and I'm not buying new ones. LOL

My Program:
I joined a fitness club and now I'm working on eating better also.

Personal Information:
I'm from Tyler, TX and moved to Canton, TX about 4 years ago. I have a husband named Beau, a 10 year old, Destiny, a 6 year old Chelsey and two dogs, Suzzie Q and Cooper. I love my life. I have been blessed with so much and with the help of my BFF Mags, we are going to kick this extra weight in the butt. LOL

Other Information:
Blood Clots are a hidden cause of over 300,000 deaths a year and last year I found out that I was full of blood clots. My abdominal cavity was clogged to no end. I was diagnosed with a very rare blood disorder called Prothrombin Gene Mutation and now I take blood thinners every day, for the rest of my life. I'm so thankful that I'm still here with my family and that makes me want to be so much healthier for them. I thank GOD so much and owe everything to him.

Amanda - your page caught my eye from the Blood Thinners group. I, too have genetic mutation that has caused all kinds of issues in my life...Migraines, Crohn's disease, pre-eclampsia in pregnancy 2x, and finally a massive DVT in my leg after a meniscus repair surgery. I am on an injectable blood thinner, Arixtra, and have been for 10 months. Hopefully I can stop that at some point soon :) Stay strong...and stay healthy by doing the exercise, IT IS SOOO IMPORTANT! You are so fortunate to have found your problem at such a young age so you can control it. There is a new drug out...in fact, it's on the Spark homepage today. I'm definitely interested in finding out more info :) Best of luck to you!!! emoticon

Hey thank you for the welcome to bloodclot team! One trip to the ER changed my life as well. I had broke my foot and about 4 months after I had kept asking my dr why my leg was so swollen, it had been swollen from the beginning, but he said that was normal. I was scheduled to have a hysterectomy the day befor my 29th birthday and we found my clot 4 days before that. My clot was from my foot to above my knee. I have destroyed main veins now and I will also be on blood thinners for life. My dr told me that if i would of had my surgery I would have definitely thrown a clot and died because pelvic surgery has a high risk of blood clots. We are here because the Lord said that it is not our time. I will be talking to you soon! Julia emoticon

Hi,

I just saw your request to be a team leader on my team..i know I haven't been very active on there I guess I was too pre-occupied with my other team. So I have made you into a co-leader I hope that you will have fun with the team and bring it to life!!!
