Hi there. Glad life is calming down for you. Hear you got a new job, and like it, which is a good thing. It is supposed to be in the 40's this week, so some of the snow from December may melt. I live in an apt. on the bottom floor, which has the window even with the ground outside. So when I open my window, there is a 3 foot tall snow drift outside. I can see the sky, but not much else. It hasn't been 32 degrees since early January, and that was one day. Most days have been in the teens, with lows around 0.

I have a doctor's visit on Monday, and the doctor should be pleased, since I probably lost about 30 lbs. since early December. Hopefully all my blood work checks out good. I feel great, although I had a week where my A-fib acted up on me in February. Not too short of breath, but it was annoying. Glad it went away.

Now that we have paid off the car, and I have an extra $400 a month, and can switch insurance to basic, instead of full, and hopefully save another $200 a month, I am also thinking of getting a gym membership. Walking is fun, and I even started doing pull-ups, and ran a few times on my walks for up to 1/2 a mile, but I want to start lifting weights again. If I really feel great, maybe I will try a class at the gym. Last time I tried one of them, I ALMOST finished, before collapsing..lol. I'd rather bench 300 lbs. Much easier.

I hear you on back workouts. I am very strong on legs, and chest, but arms, and back seem to not be so good for me. I don't feel the workouts as much, and am not sore the day after, and I end up having weaker arms, and back. Losing weight helps, and pull-ups seem to work the back better than heavy weights. I think it is just a matter of targeting the muscle. I probably use my arms to much to do rows, and use less back, which I can't do with a pull-up. We tend to focus on exercise we are good at, when I probably should be focusing on back and arms.

I think our days get longer with springing forward, which hopefully starts us warming up. Baseball starts April 1st, and we had snow on opening day last year. I would love a nice 50 degree day. It may technically be spring in a few weeks, but I consider spring to be the first day I can go outside, and walk in the grass barefoot. That requires the grass to grow a bit, and probably 60 degrees.

Have a great weekend.

So you overdid it the other day, and are sore, so you decide to rest with a hike? lol. Rest is in the dictionary under R.

Take a few days off, and recover. More of this emoticon , and less of this emoticon , this emoticon , and this emoticon
