Fifty Fabby not Flabby

I'm at that stage of life where the pounds are creeping on! I've always had to fight to be trim, and because I'm short (under 5 feet) exercise and physical activity has never really been my thing. (I'm a Type A, so if I can't excel at something, I'd rather not do it!) But now I have to face reality and do something to loose weight and be healthy(er). I have had difficulty (to put it mildly) with peri-menopause, which I suspect has also packed on a few pounds. Oh boy!

My Goals:
- get back to fighting weight of 124 lbs.

- cardio-vascular health, so I can drop the blood pressure meds.

My Program:
- Track every calorie and eat healthy! No eating out for at least another 2 weeks .And then it will be healthy choices.
-Monday, Wednesday & Friday I do 60 - 75 minutes in the treadmill in my THR zone (fat-burning zone!) Have been doing this consistently for several months now, and like what it is doing for me.
- Trying to add in either 15 or 30 minutes of anything else Tuesdays & Thursdays.
- On weekends there is just too much to do!

Personal Information:
- Very happily married to the man of my dreams, who is very, very fit and supportive of my efforts.
- I work from home so I was falling into the trap of just sitting in front of the computer screen all day and not moving my body. Didn't feel good. Had to change that!
- Living in Calgary, in Altadore.

Other Information:
- Animal lover
- Avid gardener
- Love to eat and cook (but emphasis on healthy diet)
- Love camping and hiking in the Rockies!
