HOLY CRAPOLI I'VE LOST 93 LBS WITH SPARKPEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOTE: I've lost 93lbs with SparkPeople and have lost ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN POUNDS total! As of August 28, 2014 I am working on maintaining that loss.

My name is Andrea, I'm 33, married, so far childless and looking to lose some extra pounds! I don't want to be a stick, but I want to be healthy, and I don't want to be plus-sized anymore. I'm aiming for an 8 as an ultimate goal, since I've never been thin enough to wear a 8, and it's a single digit, woot woot! (I'm currently in a 10, and if the 8 I wear is a pair of stretchy pants I'm totally cool with not going below a 10.) ETA June 2014 - I currently own a SIZE 8 pair of capris!! ETA November 2014 - I also own a size 6 in dress pants!

I have a wonderful husband and a 3 year old Boston Terrier named Bingley who is like my child. (No I don't walk him in a stroller or anything, but I love him just as much as I would my own child.)

Thank you for the blog comments! Yes. I am trying to find that balance. Yesterday, for example, the sugar/chocolate craving was so ridiculous. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I seriously could NOT. I don't think it has been that bad in a LONG time. SO. I decided after trying all my tricks to avoid that crap, I was going to have some. So I did. And sure, I had a little more than I "should" have, but I didn't stuff myself, I didn't make myself sick, and I stopped. It felt awesome. Because now, I will still be "cutting it out" to a point, because I don't need it, but trying to balance it, that will work for me. I think. I just need to learn how to do it, one step at a time.

good morning! have a wonderful birthday! glad to know there is someone else who understands the enigma that is the color pink. I once watched a 45 min. you tube by an artist that explained the mixing of pink. pink is a transparent color--but to make it you have to tint a red with white--which makes an opaque color. its also a cool color--again--you mix it using red--normally a warm. a very strange contradiction. the color he used that worked the best was a very transparent magenta. oh I could go on for hours.
something that struck me reading your untitled blog--it's not like you to focus on the negative so much--I kept waiting for you to list something you LIKED about your body. there is plenty there to choose from--so put the keyboard down and back away from all the bad thoughts emoticon
as to the running shorts--I own them too. and at 5 ft tall, 60 years old and 40 pounds too heavy, I am not a pretty sight in them. I even have the fitted, sleeveless running singlets and running bras. guess what--I WEAR THEM. yes--out in public where people coming to the park will see me in them. once I was wearing some REALLY skimpy shorts --this is years ago when I was running 5 miles a day. my mom had given me the shorts as a gift and it was hot as heck outside, so against my better judgement I put them on and went runiing. some people I saw frequently stopped and asked me how far I ran and I told them--and told them happily that I had lost 30 pounds running. the man looked at me incredulously and asked "what did you look like BEFORE you lost 30 pounds????" I was quite taken aback by the question--but managed to reply--"ummm---FATTER". that seemed to satisfy him--but it was not a happy day for me. all that hard work and I still looked fat to someone.
but I kept running because I love to run--I still do. I wear running clothes because they are comfortable and help me to feel good while I run. I understand now that its the running that matters to me--how I look doing it is unimportant. it takes a certain amount of nerve to go out knowing how I look to other people--but I know the majority of them couldn't run the distance that I can--regardless of how much better in shorts they look. and I also know that a true runner or a true athlete of any kind wouldn't ever ask a question like that--because they understand its the willingness to put in the work that matters. if you enter into the world of 5K and even 10 running or race walking you will begin to see this--and more importantly--you will be able to give this kind of affirming attitude to other people who need it as much as you do yourself.
now bend over and kiss your thighs! and give mr. bing a big old smoocheroo on the head for me.

Thanks for the blog comments. I do the 80/20 with my nutrition, but maybe I should balance my life as such! HA!
