A New Year

So this isn't my first time doing this diet and exercise thing. I did really well back in 2008/09 when I had to lose some pounds so that I could be promoted. Well since then, I have not really kept up with my plan so well. I haven't gained a lot of weight, but I am back up to my pre weight before losing weight in 08/09.
Once again, I am required to lose weight for something. I have orders to a new duty station and I have to be within standards before and during my tour there or ...
I have orders to a new duty station and I have to be within standards before and during my tour there or I could have my orders cancelled. I weighed in today and I was 238.6. I only have to be 226 or 22% bodyfat for the Navy, but my goal
is to be 205 and have at least a 36" waist. I am not trying to reach 205 before I leave to go to my duty station, but I am setting a goal of December 31st, 2011.
I am also going to set myself some fitness goals for 2011. My last PRT I ran about a 12:00 mile and a half. An 8 minute mile isn't bad, but I would like to do better...a lot better. I would like to get my 1.5 mile down to at least 10 minutes. I am going to test my ability by giving myself a monthly PRT and I will adjust my workout depending on the results.
Push-ups and curl-ups are something that I have never did too well. I am going to set myself some goals for push-ups and curl-ups as well. I will test them monthly along with my run. My goal is to be able to achieve an excellent high on both categories in the fall PRT. Until I can think of more, that is all for now.

Your kids are precious. Writing you to find out if you're sill running the Tampa Bay Bucs team. Football is upon us and I've got two Fantasy Football teams going and I need to fill them by the end of the month. They're just fun leagues but wanted to find out if you'd be interested.

By the way, I'm a huge Tampa Bay Buc fan and have been ever since they came on to the scene! :)

Hi Adam, just wanted to stop by and say emoticon on your quit! If you haven't already, check out whyquit.com and quitsmoking.com -- really good information to help you stick with it. I'm on Day 70 and feeling very happy that I made the decision.
