Ada Marie's Giant Journey
I am a working Grandmother. I am a Christian. I am a writer. This is what I hope will be my last try at a healthy weight. I have had several surgeries after my first Gastric Bypass and gone without eating 5 different times. And now I find myself eating constantly and my weight creeping back. But I am about to make a life style change that will keep me around to see my grandchildren grow up. Forget that! I will dance at my grandchildren's weddings! Talk about a long term goal!

My Goals:
My goal is to get to and maintain a healthy weight. I want to not only be at my grandchildren's weddings. I want to dance! 50 pounds is not enough, but it will be a good start.
My Program:
Since I had a Gastric Bypass 12 years ago and a revision 4 years ago, I have lost a lot of weight. Just about 100 lb. from the very start. I plan to go back to the post bypass rules of small portions, eating slowly, and a balanced diet. I also plan to start exercising by walking, trying out yoga and core strengthening exercises. I'm not fooling around this time!
Personal Information:
I used to say I was from South Dakota originally. But seeing as how I spent 18 years in South Dakota and 34 years in California, I guess I am really a Californian. I love the ocean and the mountains and I live right in between.
Other Information:
I have also been a Bible Believing Christian for 34 years. I came from heartbreak and hurt and God has given me life and love. He is Lord.
