Thank you for stopping by my Spark Page and commenting on my pictures. We did enjoy a lovely trip to Copenhagen and Stockholm - yes, we did get to see the old part of Stockholm. Can't waiit to go back again. Enjoy a fabulous day!!
Thanks for your comment on my "Rookie Mistakes" blog. I live in a great place for all types of biking. I prefer trail riding. However, I think I am going to put my high pressure Ritchey tires back on my cross-bike and do a little road riding. I have all the roadie paraphernalia, including a visorless helmet, tight fitting jerseys with 10" zipper and tight cycling shorts.
Road bike kits are tighter than mountain bike kits. Mountain biking baggy shorts and loose fitting jerseys leave room for protective gear. Tight fitting road jerseys and shorts don't flap in the wind.
Mountain bike helmets have visors to help shield the rider's face from mud and branches. Road bike helmets are thicker and heavier than road helmet. A visor on a road bike may impede forward vision when riding on the "drops".
I like all types of bikes, road and mountain. I am too darn old for BMX and dirt jumping. I found there was a point in my life when it was a bad idea to voluntarily put my butt above my head!
I mix it up every now & then with the rower...perhaps once every week or two. I figure it's a good full-body workout that gets me off the bike or elliptical, my steadier forms of cardio. I'll also toss in the stair climber once every week or two as well.
