I've been like this too long...

Hi! I am a 28 year old, married mother of 2. I am a 911 disptcher and have gained weight, not only while I was pregnant, but since I have been at my job. Before my son, I was 125 pounds and a size 4. While I have no aspirations to be that thin again (I think I was too thin then) I want to be healthy and into single digit clothes.

My Goals:
I used to be a size 4, then I gained 60 pounds while pregnant with my son. I lost a bunch of the weight, but not all of it. I did better when pregnant with my daughter, however with my job, I have gained weight and am ready to get rid of it. I have no desire to be a size 4 again, but an 8 would be nice and mainly just be healthier.

Other Information:
My rewards for meeting goals:

Down 10 pounds- Get my hair colored

Down 20 pounds by July 1- A new dress for Jared and Hollie's wedding

Down 30 pound by August 18- A romantic weekend with my hubby for our Anniversary

Down 40 pounds by my goal- A new tattoo!!

emoticon Welcome to Spark!
I've been here since Nov. 9, 2009 and have really learned a lot about myself, food, and exercising. I truly feel joining Spark was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
One of the best tools is the nutrition tracker. You will be shocked when you enter a typical day's food! Try to track everything you eat and stay within your limits. Don’t panic if you slip - we all do! Just put it behind you, you can’t change it, and move on. One of the main concepts at Spark is to take two steps forward for each step back!
The fitness tracker is also a great tool. You can track your steps, mileage, cardio exercise, and strength exercises. It will tell you how many calories you have burned.
Take time to make lots of Friends and tell them when you reach a goal or are having a hard time. They are here with praise and support all the time! Don't be afraid to ask any question, no matter how silly you think it is.
Take time to explore Spark. Read and respond to message boards, blogs, and other members' pages. The help, support, inspiration, motivation, encouragement, and friendship you will receive is awesome! The site can be confusing at times but just keep looking around. There is really a lot of valuable information here!
emoticon Feel free to contact me if I can help you in any way. Drop by my page to say hi.
Stay focused, determined, and positive - you will be successful!
Sheila
