My Program:
Continue to eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Eat protein 2 - 3 times a day, and work on drinking more water. Work out, almost daily, but no less than 5 days a week.

Personal Information:
I was born and grew up in Germany. Curiosity prompted a visit to the US and I never left. I am married to the love of my life. We have two sons and four grand daughters. In Aug. 2011, I celebrated 50 years in the US. Hard to believe. I had total hip replacement surgery in July 2010. I love walking, skiing, golfing, swimming, and, out of necessity, strength training, to stay as active as I can.

I'm on day 14. It has been a good experience. I'm not sure if I learned anything new but Certainly things needed refreshed.

Today I went looking for a new recipe for cooking oats in the slow cooker. I tried it last week just guessing at the timing and it was amazing. Now I have some recipes to follow. This one will make easy breakfasts for the week.

haha I thought it was cool to see long time sparkers, ( a couple others besides you and me), on the beginners challenge. I'm hoping it inspires me to get with the program.

My girls are 7 and 4. Born the same day 3 years apart. The oldest was a month early, the youngest was a week late. God planned them that way for some reason. They live only 45 minutes from me but everyone's so busy I don't get to see them often enough.

Hope you are doing well and enjoying the Fall 5% Challenge!

I sent you SparkMail last week! You must not check that very often haha :) I'm doing okay - my eating still has to get on track but I'm working out every day before bed. This week is meal planning week for me - I'm starting a new challenge (non-Spark) on 11/1 so I want to make sure i'm ready to go! Glad you're doing well - the cold weather ALWAYS makes things more difficult... I generally get home from work and want my pajamas and a hot bath haha!
