Ready to start the 5% Winter Challenge
Tomorrow (2/23/13) we are starting a new, 8-week Winter Challenge. Oh, I am so ready. I know what I have to do, and would be happy to be able to lose, at least, half of what I put back on this past year, which is not 5% of my present weight. I will try to go back to a more regimented exercise program. I will journal again, not just food, but also my daily exercise routine. I do post my exercise minutes on SP, but, now, I have to post my efforts (or lack thereof) on a daily post for ...

I do post my exercise minutes on SP, but, now, I have to post my efforts (or lack thereof) on a daily post for everybody on my team to see. Will this encourage me to do better? I sure hope so. I can't let my team down. Besides, I am a mentor to three new members and have to be a good example. We will see. I just hope there won't be additional family dramas, primarily health related, that will prevent me from following through. So, STARFISHIES, let's make this a GOOD CHALLENGE. Let's support each other wherever and whenever we can.

My Program:
Continue to eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Eat protein 2 - 3 times a day, and work on drinking more water. Work out, almost daily, but no less than 5 days a week.
Personal Information:
I was born and grew up in Germany. Curiosity prompted a visit to the US and I never left. I am married to the love of my life. We have two sons and three grand daughters, so far. In 2011, I will be celebrating 50 years in the US. Hard to believe. I had total hip replacement surgery in July 2010. I love walking, skiing, golfing and swimming and stay as active as I can. I also work out with weights.
