I have lost and gained TOO often and need to get back to a healthy eating pattern. Doing this is possible and I know it is important. I was motivated to get healthy when I turned 50 and my doctor handed me prescriptions for medication to lower blood pressure and cholesterol after a physical. Scared healthy suddenly made lots of sense to me. After 4 months at WW all my medical numbers were looking SO much better and...hmmm...I was LOOKING HOT!! After a year I was at maintenance and on top ...

After a year I was at maintenance and on top of the world. Five years after starting the healthy journey I still have some great healthy habits, but I have lost portion control and good exercise habits. HERE I AM WORLD!! Heading happily into retirement, but getting unhappy noises from the doctor again. My daughter, BWILBUR25, is my SP BUDDY and I am focused on my health and happiness once again.

My Goals:
Nothing fancy...get healthy and get back into my favorite clothes!! I am slowly bending my mind around to see food as a tool. Like a shovel I use to plant a tree, food gives life and pleasure but it isn't the only tool. Sometimes in the garden I use a trowel, a rake, a hose. Food has a place in life, but it isn't the ONLY tool. Use it wisely...

My Program:
1. I need structure to stay focused on control so a scale gets used everyday. ONCE a day only.
2. Savor healthy food.
3. Water...water...water
4. Small bits of sweets and treats-if there is cake-have A bite!

Other Information:
If it isn't hunger, food won't fix it...

I have decided to weight in every 2 two week (to get more bang for my buck and keep my eye on being healthy, not being the right number) and I am also keeping track of inches this time around.
