My name is Julie and I'm an artist and crafter. To entertain myself I crochet, sew, paint, bead, scrapbook, game, cook, read tarot and play with my six cats.
I am a newlywed and I want to help my husband reach a healthy weight too. As an extension of that I want to set an example for my family that you can be active and healthy and lose weight without using "miracle" diets or buying specialty equipment.

I'm Julie and I'm from Michigan. I grew up in a very, very small town (about 1000 people) and I went to college in a small town too (the campus was in the middle of a forest, the whole place is like a park with some buildings in it). Until a few months ago when we moved into a small neighborhood my husband and I lived in the middle of three cornfields (there was a road!) I may not be a farm girl, but I am very much from the country. Ironically, I can't stand to listen to country music (it's like stabbing my ear drums).
I like to read. A lot. I read fantasy, science fiction, alternate history, horror, mystery... well everything I guess! My favorite author of all time is Robert Jordan who wrote the Wheel of Time series (which is being finished by Brandon Sanderson). Laurell K. Hamilton is a close second!
