Today is September 30 and I am 131 day into my SP Journey. Since my last journal entry, I have been on vacation and started a new semester in a new field of study. In a word I am BUSY. I have not had time to track my progress but I am happy to say that in spite of the major deficit in personal time, I am still faithfully adhering to my new lifestyle. I still walk almost everyday. I still eat mainly whole foods and I still maintain a drastically reduced refined sugar intake. In the time since my last report I have dropped an additional 9 pounds, that is half the weight in 133% more time. In other words, it took me and additional 19 days (56+13 = 75) (75+56 = 131), to lose half the weight. In the past this drastic slow down would have totally derailed me. However, now with my new frame of reference, I look at the big picture. I look better, I feel better, I eat better, I sleep better, I am way less stressed and I feel better about myself than I have in years. Weighing less is so far down on my list of priorities right now that I rarely get on the scale. Fitting into clothes that I have not worn in 12 years is a much better yardstick. Looking forward to the next 60 or 75 days.

Today is July 17, 2010 and I am 56 days into my SP Journey. Although I have falter sometimes I have striven to take this journey one day at a time. In this journey I have gained and loss as much as 3 lbs in a 24 hour period but at the end of this phase of my journey, I have lost 18 lbs. In addition, I now walk more miles per week than I drive, I am fitting into clothes that I have not worn in years and on average I feel better than I have felt in 11 years and to think I am still in the beginning stages of this new life journey that I have embarked on. All I can say is I cannot wait to see what the next 60 days bring.

I am really hard on myself and I give myself impossible standards, which is why I always feel like I'm failing at life.
