Countdown to Nov 5!
August, 2010 - My page needs an overhaul! Here is the quick synopsis of my life since joining Spark in 2006: I began using SP at around 145 pounds, with my ultimate goal of getting to 127. Prior to SP, I was somewhere in the low 160s, and lost the weight counting calories and exercising (nothing too consistent, however). Fast forward 3 years to mid-2009, and I find myself wonderfully pregnant. I did get down to an all-time low of 133 approx 1.5 months before getting pregnant. ...
I guess dropping 12 pounds overall was great, but dang, if i were consistent with my eating (consistently eating clean and lean, versus consistently eating...), I should have done that sooner and maintained. My beautiful baby, Donnie, was born on March 29, 2010. 20 hours before his birth, i weighed in on my scale at home (with clothes on) at around 203 or 201 (i can't remember because I was so shocked that I guess i tried to erase it. I do know it was over 200 LBs). Huge for a 5'1" girl, but, hey - i enjoyed every last milkshake, slurpee, piece of whatever sweet I wanted! Although Dean and I got married on Nov 6, 2009, we're having my official wedding on November 5, 2010 in the DR. It will technically be a 'vow renewal', but this is my only chance to be the princess wearing a white dress, so I'm trying to get back to my pre-preggo weight, or better (ultimately, it's about what i look like, not the scale)! I know what it is going to take, but i tend to have little- to no-willpower. So, my plan until November 5 (and beyond as i'm sure i'll not be at my ultimate goal by November): 1) Always remember that 80% of the equation is NUTRITION. 2) PRACTICE eating clean at least 85% of the time (that gives me at MOST 1 full cheat day a week, if we're talking 5 meals a day). My goal is to eat only 1 cheat meal a week.. so maybe giving myself another 4 cheat meals will be a disservice. Anyhow, ultimate goal is only 1 MEAL, so i'll aim for that, but won't call it a failure if i do worse (but not worse than a full day). 3) Drink more water. I think I do a great job now, but when I think i'm starving, I'll remind myself to chug a glass of water and wait 5 minutes and see how i'm doing. 4) Eat more lean protein, less empty carbs. 5) Replace FRUIT with VEGGIES. I have a seriously bad sweet tooth. Maybe not all sugars are the same, but they're still not doing me any good. 6) Continue with P90X - This is my first time doing it, and so far, I love it. My last day, should i continue to stick to the schedule, is October 25, 2010. I will continue to go heavy, and push myself. 7) Try to add a little more cardio than what's in the P90X plan, if time allows (let's be realistic - i'm still a mom to an infant). So, there you go. My plan currently in progress. It all comes down to eating with me, so please do me a favor and check on me and check my nutrition. Yell at me if I'm not tracking (weekdays at the least. weekends are harder since i never use the computer at home). Any and all advice and help is welcome. If i could do this alone, i'd have done it by now!

My Goals:
Lose the baby weight. 1) get into the 150s - Done (June 2010) 2) get into the 140s - DONE (August 2010) 3) Reach 140 by September 30 4) hit 135 5) hit 130 6) 127? 7) even better???
My Program:
I am a firm believer in the 80-10-10 rule. Nutrition is 80% of the equation, exercising without proper nutrition is basically a waste. Putting the effort required into eating healthy and nutritiously ensures that my workouts actually mean something!
Personal Information:
Height- 5'1 Highest Weight (preggo): 203? Lowest Weight (pre-preggo): 133 Goal Weight: 127 (or better?!)
Other Information:
I love to play organized team sports. I'm excited to get back into field hockey this fall. I miss playing softball and soccer, but having a baby rearranges your priorities. And my baby is worth it! However, daddy and baby time will be when I'm playing hockey! and a little bit of softball too (dean and i will split playing time). sweet.
