I'm back... this time I'm serious!

Since I've been gone I've gained back some of my weight but I did complete a FULL marathon! It almost broke me but now I'm starting slowly again, starting to walk regularly and doing lots of swimming.

Update May 2014: I am now going low carb and noticing big differences in my hunger and also on the scales! Love Low Carb!

I am being more realistic with my goals and I am hoping to get to my long term goal by my birthday in February next year.

I'm starting simple, just one or two challenges at a time. I got overwhelmed before and ended up leaving Spark People. I'm recently back on board as I found the app is now free again and it's better than ever! Thank you Spark People!

I'm also in a Weight Watchers at Work program which up to now has been an opportunity wasted. I am refocused and am being more sensible with my goals.

A quick history:

I'm English but now live in Canada.

I have two gorgeous daughters, have moved with my family into a renovation project and I have a part time job. I don't seem to have time to do anything these days!

I have body issues: I am missing out as I don't like my photo being taken and I am not in more than a couple of pictures of my children. I hate to see myself in photos. The one of me with "Elvis" was taken a few years ago and I like it because there's no double-chin!

I found out in April 2012 that I'm pre-diabetic and have high cholesterol. At the start of the year I initiated a huge change, moving to a mostly vegan diet and for the most part, it's going well. I do slip up once in a while but that is getting less and less frequent. I definitely feel better but am hoping to really start to feel better and lose this weigh before the end of the year! Woo hoo!!!

My Goals:
My goals are to be a good role model for my two daughters and help them to grow up fit and healthy without the overweight issues I had/have.

My second goal is to get fit and healthy and not suffer with the problems that my mum experienced at a young age, such as Type 2 diabetes and dementia.

My third goal is to write novels that people want to read and learn from.
