I am a 35 year old stay at home Mom of two children. I have a girl (6) and a boy (9). I want to be fitter and more active to be able to enjoy games and activities with my kids. I sometimes feel that I miss out on all the fun I could otherwise have with my family. The biggest hit for me was when we decide to go go-karting as a family and because of the fat on my body I could not fit into the seats and race with my son and husband. i was left out in that fun and since then have been just thinking about weight loss seriously. I have been doing the 'research' on weight loss since some 8 years which is when I gained all the wieght after having my first child. I have begun too many exercise programs, diet plans and 'good weight loss practices' but only to leave them before reaching mid-way. I joined spark people a couple of years ago but was too de-motivated to begin anything new. now with this latest set-back, I have been ging through the spark people blogs and success stories and I am seriously bowled over. I want to give it a serious try since this seems to be the answer to all my worries of weight loss. I am looking forward to amazing support from friends who are or have been in this journey and so understand me well. I will be using this page to not only record my weight loss journey but also to record all the ups and downs and fears I come across. I hope with amazing people around me I am not going to fail this time.

I love reading especially thrillers and historical books.

My favourite quote is , "Glory lies not in never falling but in rising after every fall." I want to keep this in mind because I know that weight loss will not be easy and sticking around is what matters.
