Into 2013 and Taking My Body Back!

Although I wasn't a total failure in 2013, I jumped up and down like a hot bean (is there such a thing?)
Anyways it's a good distance from my original 181. It's wasn't a total failure, just a temporary postponement.
My starting weight for 2014 is 166.4. (adding the four as it's close to 1/2 pound…right?

With the holiday trash is out of the way and mentally in a good place, I'm ready to go.

With the holiday trash is out of the way and mentally in a good place, I'm ready to go.

The way I'm looking at it, it's better to finish what you started no matter how long it takes. This Year I'm taking what I learned last year (and it was lot) and making 2014 work for me not against me.

What I learned in 2013:
*I'm not powerless
*I'm stronger than I think I am
*I don't have to be super woman to get in my exercise
*Keeping my body limber is as important as my bootcamp workouts. without it I can cause serious damage to my body (lesson learned).
*Semi Fasting 1 or 2x a week is fantastic and easier to do then I ever thought it would be.
*Losing weight with friends here on SP is priceless.
*Telling Friends in my life is not priceless but necessary.
* The only person who can sabotage my weight loss efforts is ME! No one can actually force you to eat.
Grow up!
*I don't have to be a slave to food…eating the right foods and whole foods while losing weight is the only way to go.
*Clean foods and learning new ways to make them is actually fun and feels more decadent then opening a package of cookies.
* Eating my main meal in the afternoon or early dinner helps me stay focused on not cheating in the evening.
*Green tea is a great way to start and end my day.
*Obviously drinking water is a must but since I have such a hard time remembering it…making a batch of chilled green tea (vanilla chia is my favorite) no sugar, no carbs, no caffeine…priceless.

So here's where I start and plan to be finished once and for all before summer arrives, with a chance to meet all my SP peeps in my MT group. We've been planning a meeting trip and when you think about it, summer is right around the corner. Time to get it together.

So here we go again. I'm never going to give up! NEVER!

My Goals:
lose 2-3lb a week.
Cardio, strength training, bike riding,
and of course walk my crazy Jack Russells.

My Program:
This is what I need to get back to the real world.

MT Food Plan: Check...and eating clean...period. not counting calories but knowing my portion sizes for each meal. Fruit or a "couple" of almonds is my snack

Excercise Fun Plan:
+Walk 2-4miles with my Parson Russell terriers everyday

Real workout:
Yoga and exercise videos to keep my sanity and my limbs limber. Using my personal trainer to keep me committed and keep me from injuring myself again.

Personal Information:
I Live in beautiful Northern California. It's a great place to live. The weather leaves no excuses to not get into shape. Not much Rain.temps are in the 70's-80's and winter climate is chilly in the mornings and usually sunny and in the 60-70's by afternoon. There's no excuse for not getting out and enjoying all kinds of exercise . Of course that doesn't stop one from finding excuses. So I will not look for excuses, only reasons to workout.

I'll still need my gym to get in my regular exersise with my trainer, but it will be with much more though over which exercises I should do and those that I should stay clear of.
I am working now with a therapist for my tendonitis in my arm and Bursa in my leg. All do to, too much activity without stretching properly after working out. Lesson Learned!

Other Information:
I love making collage artworks using photoshop with all kinds of special effect filters. I also make a lot of Montage videos which I post on Youtube.

Right now I've been taking a lot of Dog photos for people.
I think I found a new niche. People love there pets and I love helping them bring out the best looks in them with photography and then retouching. It's a great gig.

Thank you for the finish line goodie. I am getting close to my original goal and it has taken a long time to get here! I think that once I hit my original goal I will be resetting my goal for another 10 lbs lower. The older I get the more I realize that life will be easier the lower my weight is!

When I was in my 20's I wanted to be 225 lbs (and was for a while). In my 30's I wanted to be around 210, but it never happened. Now in my 40's I think being around 195 (or less maybe) will be easier on my back and knees!
