I am an overweight stay at home mom. I have 3 wonderful children than need me to be healthy. I also need to be healthy for me. My husband and I are working towards our goals of a healthy and fit lifestyle. Lots of road blocks, most of which we put on ourselves. Last year we lost our first dog. We had him for 9 years. That sent my whole family into sort of a depression. I stopped caring about what I ate or how my body looked. We ate fast food more often than not because I couldn't muster the energy to prepare a healthy meal.

This will be my 5th restart. I've given up so many times. I've gotten frustrated and thrown in the towel. But recently we moved back to my hometown. I know so many people here that knew me at a much healthier weight. I have found myself looking at the floor while walking in the store. I panic when I see someone that I might know. I always get the polite, "wow, you've changed" or "how old is your last baby?" Those are just polite ways of saying, "you've gained weight and you should have lost that baby weight already."

3 Weeks ago I changed my eating habits. I have lost 12 pounds. I also drink water all the time. I have figured out how to replace snacks with better options. We have more fresh fruits and veggies in our house now. I am learning how to be creative in my kitchen with less fat and carbs but more flavor. I suppose it helps that we all like spicy foods!!

Well this is me....starting over. And hopefully for the LAST time!!
