2007: Over the years, the weight has slowly crept up. I just want to return to the weight I was 20 years ago when I met my husband (124 pounds) instead of the 136 that I am today. I hate the flab on my body. I try to walk 35 minutes most days at lunch and I do some light weights off and on, but the weight just stays about the same. Help!! My discipline has disappeared.

My Goals:

My Program:
I try to walk 30 minutes 3 to 4 days a week and do light weights (3 and 5 pounds) three mornings a week. My biggest challenge is keeping calories to 1200.

Hi Ellen, Thank you for the comment about my walking. I'm very fortunate that my sciatica doesn't hurt when I go for my walks. It really doesn't hurt that much during the daytime. It's mostly in the evening and at night that it keeps me awake.

Thanks for your encouragement, Ellen. I wrote the blog mainly because I hadn't been there for so long, and really thought no one would notice it. I'm still so grateful for the encouragement that Spark People friends give each other.

We leave for Missouri one week from tomorrow. Aaaaaghhhh!
